CSO Book Scholarship Award

The Council of School Officers (CSO) is proud to announce its Book Scholarship Award program, which will provide three $1,000 scholarships to deserving students this year. This scholarship is designed to support graduating students as they prepare for their next educational step and to recognize academic effort, leadership, and community involvement.

Eligible applicants must be DCPS high school seniors or students enrolled in a program leading to a Certificate of Completion, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants are required to submit a four hundred–500-word essay based on the topic listed in the application, a letter of recommendation from an administrator, dean, director, coordinator, or teacher, and proof of involvement in school and community activities.

The application deadline is April 10, 2026. Students are encouraged to apply early to ensure all materials are submitted on time.
